In order to apply for an open position, with the City of North Lauderdale, please complete the official online City of North Lauderdale Employment Application by clicking here in order to be considered for employment. Resumes submitted without an application will not be considered until the application is received.

It is important that all sections of the on-line application are filled out completely and accurately. If a section on the application does not apply, please indicate n/a. Incomplete or omitted information may result in disqualification from the application process. All educational attainment, licenses, and certifications must be accurately documented on the application and are subject to verification.

In accordance with F.S. 295, the City will grant consideration at all phases of the recruitment to eligible veterans and eligible spouses of veterans. If it is determined that an applicant’s application contains false or misleading information or that the application does not comply with the disclosure requirements, the candidate will be disqualified at this phase of the process.

Candidates on the Eligibility List will undergo a thorough background and reference investigation. Candidates for certain City positions will be subjected to fingerprinting for a national criminal background check.

Upon completion of a favorable background and reference investigation, candidates will be placed on a Certified List from which a conditional offer of employment may be recommended. The conditional offer of employment is contingent upon results of appropriate post-offer medical screening.

All applicants selected for hire must successfully pass a physical exam, drug screen and background check.
